Equilium Festival: Jesolo’s historic center comes alive from June 13 to 24

Back Equilium in Festa, the grand celebration of the patron saint St. John the Baptist, which runs from June 13 to 24 will transform the historic center of Jesolo into a stage for music, tradition, entertainment, and conviviality.

The program

Saturday, June 14

9:00 p.m. in Piazza I Maggio: concert by the L. Pellas Bersaglieri Band, in celebration of the Bersaglieri Corps’ anniversary.

Thursday, June 19

7:00 p.m. in Piazza I Maggio and along Via Cesare Battisti: District Dinner.

Traditional Venetian dishes will be the stars of the evening, with food stands run by the parishes of Jesolo. During dinner, the main street and Piazza I Maggio will come alive with musical entertainment by Aglio Olio & Swing and the Calivan duo, for an evening filled with great food and fun!
Plus… ARIBANDUS! Old-fashioned games, a unique and fun event that will take you back in time. Friends and family will compete in classic games of skill and strategy, with fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Friday, June 20

9:00 p.m. in Piazza I Maggio: Circo Vintage entertainment show.

Two eccentric artists, accompanied by an extravagant entertainer, will amaze us with circus acts and more… the keyword is FUN, and they’ll give it their all to make it happen—but they won’t be alone, because the audience will be an integral part of the show, learning circus skills and taking on fantastic challenges.

Saturday, June 21

10 a.m. at Parco dei Cigni: Family bike ride.

The route starts in downtown Jesolo, continues along Via Dragojesolo and the bike path along the Sile River, and ends at the Salsi17 kiosk.

9:00 p.m. at the Antiche Mura archaeological site: Theatrical performance of “Birt all’inferno” by Romano Pascutto.

Performed by Sandro Buzzatti, with musical accompaniment by Nelso Salton. Sandro Buzzatti performs “Birt in Hell,” or “The Life, Death, and Resurrection of Birt,” one of Romano Pascutto’s extraordinary tales, alongside “The Story of Nane” and “La Gigia,” which have already been featured in previous editions of Equilim in Festa. A story of bitter irony: Birt, in life a ferryman along the sleepy Livenza River, helps Charon ferry souls to the afterlife; he introduces him to the intoxication of Tocai wine, provokes and challenges him, before crossing to the other shore like every mortal. On that border of boats and words, acquaintances and strangers pass by, bearing the marks of life…
