Ice Nativity Scene

An event not to be missed for young and old alike. Following the huge success of previous editions, the event returns with a 200-square-meter exhibition area featuring 70 ice blocks, each weighing 125 kilograms, crafted by talented sculptors.

The Ice Nativity Scene will feature five internationally renowned sculptors: Russians Ilya Filimontsev and Dmitrii Klimenko, along with Mongolians Uugantsetseg Enkhtaivan and Tsagaan Munkh-Erdene, under the artistic direction of Canadian David Ducharme. These artists will create their works inside two refrigerated display cases, maintaining a temperature of 10–14 degrees below zero to ensure the sculptures remain solid.

The official opening is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, when the tent structure in Piazza I Maggio will open its doors to visitors, inviting them to immerse themselves in an extraordinary Christmas atmosphere. Over the past three years, the Ice Nativity Scene has attracted over140,000 visitors, establishing itself as one of the region’s most beloved Christmas events and offering moments of wonder and amazement to all who attend.
