Entrance fee to Venice

Visiting Venice in 2024 requires an online reservation and the purchase of an entrance ticket valid for 29 specific days. These days include dates from April to July 2024. The cost of the ticket is five euros per person, children under 14 are exempt from paying.

The 29 days in 2024 are: 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 April; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26 May; 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30 June and 6, 7, 13 and 14 July.

To obtain the ticket it is necessary to register and pay online on the cda.ve.it website and exhibit the QR code generated in case of control. Travelers who do not have a ticket risk a fine ranging from 50 to 300 euros.

However, those who demonstrate to have booked accommodation in Venice are exempt from paying the entrance fee. It is mandatory for guests with reservations to also register online, receiving the QR code for free.

Further measures to counteract tourist overcrowding include a ban on tour groups of more than 25 people accompanied by guides starting June 1, 2024. Guided tours also cannot use loudspeakers in the city center and the surrounding islands. It will no longer be allowed to tourist groups to remain on bridges or in narrow alleys in the future.
