This instrument, job number 398, was built by Vincenzo Mascioni in 1928. Over the years, it has been refurbished several times without altering its phonic characteristics. at one time, it was located behind Titian’s altarpiece of Saint Mary of the Assumption. However, this required its being dismantled so the priceless painting could be preserved: in the 1940s, during the Second World War, and in the 1960s, during the acqua alta of 1966 high when it was partially damaged. When its reassembly behind Titian’s altarpiece was ruled out for safety reasons, it was donated to the Church of Santa Maria Ausiliatrice in Jesolo.
